Sarah turns Eight !!!

My first born girl has her eighth birthday party. It was a celebration that lasted all weekend long. We had an amazing time. I took Sarah brownie tuxedos(pampered chef recipe) to her school for a special birthday snack per her request. That evening Sarah had seven of her girlfriends join her at the Party Palace for a tea party. The girls had a blast. They got to put on dresses ,makeup, jewerly, shoes. They performed a short skit. Had a modeling run for the mothers who stayed to watch. Then they ended with a tea. Sarah got to pick out a porcelain doll when she left. After we left the Party Palace Kym (Sarah's aunt) and I drove the girls back to our home for a Sleepover!!!!!Micha (friend/babysitter)Kym and I kept the girls busy with activities of which Sarah had requested we play. We first ate pizza, sang karaoke, played charades, played some other game that Kym created, and watched a movie. Most of the girls,as did I , hit the pillow at 2am. There were a few that were still trying to keep awake until about 4:30am. I know this because my night owl sister -in- law stayed up with them. Thank you Kym .:)At about 6:30am our puppy Max ran upstairs and licked most of the girls until they woke up!!!! I eventually went to the bakery to bring the girls back goodies for breakfast. William had spent the night w/ Aunt Kathy so we were able to eat junk/sweets during her party.
Now, these pictures are just of her first evening of celebration with her friends. I will try to later post some of the next day ,when we celebrated w/ family. Sarah requested dinner at a restaurant and Put-Put for that evening.
My heart goes out to Joe because he shares the same birthday with Sarah. Unfortunately, he gets second dibs on when we celebrate his. Happy Birthday to Joe. Your a great sport!!!

Easter Sunday

We had an amazing day on Easter. The children woke up to find their Easter baskets. None of which were filled with an ounce of candy:):)We had an amazing service at church. We spent a wonderful afternoon with Mimi and Papa. We had Uncle Joe,Aunt Kathy,Andrew,Nicholas,Andy,Erica,Uncle Jim,Aunt Margie, and Mrs. E. all together for a wonderful Easter lunch that Mimi prepared for us. Uncle Paul and Aunt Hailey were missed tremendously. How blessed we are to have such a close family that enjoys spending time with one another. Then later in the day Mam came to visit the kiddies with another Easter basket she gave to the children.I really tried to lead up the week of Easter with stories of Jesus' death and resurrection. I purchased the resurrection eggs at LifeWay. It's an excellent visual to use when sharing the Easter story with them.

Field Trip with William

William and I ventured to the Seven Oaks dairy farm last week for his preschool class field trip. We enjoyed a tour of the farm via a trailer ride led by "Papa", an eighty++year old man missing 1/4 of his heart!!!! The aroma of the farm was indescribable. William needless to say did not enjoy the scents:) We got to see and pet a calf and watch all the high-tech equipment the farmers use now to milk their cattle. They did let the children try and milk from the utter if they wanted. William got a great squeeze with milk squirting everywhere. We had a blast!!!! They served all the children ice cream bars at the end of our visit. I had no idea how I was going to handle this, considering William has Type 1 diabetes. But the Lord was good! They had a 14gr carb orange dreamsicle. Right in Williams range for a snack!!!!!He got to finish out his field trip with ice cream just like his classmates.
